Redesigned Softail Frame
The Sport Glide is part of the class Softail family and it gives the Softail frame a little bit of an upgrade. All Softail enthusiasts will tell you the best part about owning one of these bikes is its superior look and performance. They run on a distinctive hidden monoshock rear suspension to provide clean lines and better handling. The Sport Glide takes this exceptionalism and adds a few more bonuses. This Softail frame is 34% stiffer and much, much lighter. For the rider, this means you’ll get a better, more controllable ride with faster response that handles harder lines and sharper corners. Plus, we’ve included high performance suspension, so even though it’s one of Harley-Davidson’s lightweight contenders, you’ll still be able to carry along all your extra touring cargo without messing with how smooth your ride is.
Milwaukee-Eight Engine
A new day, a new bike, and a new engine. The Sport Glide comes with our all-new Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine, the product of over a century of innovative and riding experience. The power you get from the Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine gives you incredible torque so you stay locked to the pavement while you’re shredding it. It’s an electronically fuel injected V-Twin engine so you’ll also get a faster response from 0-60 mph and 60-80 mph to get you down any road, no matter how it changes. And all that power could result in a bike that vibrates like an airplane engine, but Harley-Davidson was thinking two steps ahead: the Milwaukee-Eight 107 is completely counterbalanced so save you the extra headache. It’s also slimmed down to fit in the sleeker Sport Glide frame and you still get that signature Harley-Davidson growl.
Touring Ready
All this power means you can shred the road on your home street, that’s true, but we know you’re more interested in flying down the interstate. The Sport Glide is ready to fly with you. Because it’s lightweight, you’ll find it more agile and easier to handle over long distances. The engine’s low-vibration smooths out your trip and mini-fairings keeping the headwind off you.
